The Florida Division of Early Learning, in partnership with the state’s 30 early learning coalitions and RCMA, helps families access early care and education options that best serve their children’s individual needs. The most important time in a child’s development is the first five years. The division’s Child Care Resource and Referral program can help you choose the right early care and education provider by helping you:

  • Find quality early learning programs.
  • Learn about financial assistance options.
  • Connect with local community resources.
  • Engage in learning and development as your child’s first teacher.

The division’s School Readiness program offers financial assistance to income-eligible families to be able to access high-quality child care so parents can work or attend training and education.

The division’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program is a free educational program that prepares 4-year-olds for academic success in kindergarten and beyond. State data shows that children who participate in VPK are better prepared to enter kindergarten ready to learn.

The resources on this page will provide information to help parents choose the right provider for their child and family, as well as actively participate in and support their child’s early learning success.
