2023
On October 18, 2023, the State Board of Education adopted Achievement Level standards aligning the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) to the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.). The 2023-24 school year is the first school year results are being reported based on these new standards. The 2023 scores were linked to the 2021-2022 reporting scale when initially reported, as required by law, and results from the initial release are now being provided based on the new score scale and established Achievement Levels so that stakeholders are able to see what they would have been if the achievement standards had been implemented at that time. These scores are referred to as the retrofitted scores because of this conversion.
