Academy & Career-Themed Course Registration
School districts are annually required to register career-themed courses offered in secondary school as well as high school and middle school career and professional academies. Industry certifications earned in career-themed courses are eligible for additional full-time equivalent (FTE) membership in the FEFP calculation.
Under current rules, the following windows for academies and career themed courses are required:
Academy Registration – High School
- Annual Registration Window: Mid-August to Mid-September
- Appendix Y of the annual Student Information System database manual lists all registered academies
Academy Registration – Middle School
- Annual Registration Window: Mid-September to Mid-October
- Appendix Y of the annual Student Information System database manual lists all registered academies
Career-Themed Course Registration
- Three Annual Registration Windows:
- First window is Mid-October to November
- Second window is in February
- Third window is in Mid-July to Early-August
- Appendix FF of the annual Student Information System database manual lists all registered career-themed courses.
