Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas visited Chipola College

Marianna, Fla., September 23, 2025 – Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas toured the beautiful campus of Chipola College for a firsthand look at dynamic workforce programs that bring learning to life. From firefighting and nursing simulations to automotive, welding and HVAC training, these opportunities create job-ready pathways that help students excel and drive Florida’s economic growth.

At the conclusion of the visit, Commissioner Kamoutsas presented an award of $19,264 on behalf of the Florida College System Foundation to the Chipola College Foundation. The scholarships support first-generation, teaching, nursing and allied health students, helping them achieve their goals and pursue impactful, rewarding careers.
