FCAT 2.0 Historical
From 2011 to 2014, the FCAT 2.0 was used to measure student achievement of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) in reading and mathematics. In 2012, although the test name remained “FCAT Writing,” the NGSSS scoring standards for FCAT 2.0 Writing were fully implemented and the test name was officially changed the following year. In 2012, FCAT 2.0 Science was administered for the first time to assess the NGSSS and was renamed the Statewide Science Assessment in spring 2015. In Spring 2015, FCAT 2.0 was replaced by the Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) in English language arts and mathematics to measure student achievement of the Florida Standards. The FCAT 2.0 Reading Retake was administered for the final time in spring 2018.
