“A strong education lays the groundwork for a lifetime of success,” said Commissioner Manny Diaz, Jr. “I am proud of the many opportunities that Florida Bright Futures Scholarships have provided to students, and I am committed to sharing this with all of Florida’s students to ensure that every child receives a bright future.”

“The Florida Lottery understands the important role that education plays in shaping the future,” said Florida Lottery Secretary John F. Davis. “We are proud to continue our partnership with the Florida Department of Education and provide students with every chance to achieve their greatest potential.”

“I want to thank Commissioner Diaz and Secretary Davis for their dedicated commitment to Florida’s students and their futures,” said Duval County Superintendent Dr. Dana Kriznar. “The Florida Bright Futures Program continues to shape the lives of many students throughout our community each year.”

The Florida Bright Futures Program was established in 1997 and is funded by the Florida Lottery to reward Florida’s brightest high school students for their academic achievements. Since its introduction, the Florida Bright Futures Program has granted over 950,000 scholarship awards. The Florida Bright Futures Program offers four scholarships: the Florida Academic Scholarship, Florida Medallion Scholarship, Florida Gold Seal CAPE Scholarship and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship.
