Media Invited to Participate in Assessment and Accountability Workshop

As part of the Florida Department of Education's efforts to better communicate about Florida's accountability and assessment programs, media are invited to participate in "Assessment and Accountability Workshop for Media" tomorrow. Reporters will be guided through a brief history of Florida's accountability system and learn about the transition to FCAT 2.0 and End-of-Course assessments and how school grades are calculated.

The combination of an operator-assisted conference call and online WebEx formats will allow reporters to not only have access to the workshop materials but also the opportunity to ask questions during the workshop.
