Commissioner Pam Stewart to Announce Top Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year
Tallahassee, Fla., January 31, 2014 - Commissioner Pam Stewart will announce the recipients of the Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership and the Outstanding Assistant Principal Achievement Award in a luncheon ceremony next week at the Atlantic Dance Hall at the Disney Boardwalk Inn. The awards recognize outstanding school leaders who have increased student performance, promoted safe learning environments and established successful partnerships with parents and community members.Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership finalists are:
- Brian Kingsley, Gulfstream Middle School, Broward County
- Eric Lundman, East River High School, Orange County
- Dr. Barbara Shirley, Alta Vista Elementary School, Sarasota County
Outstanding Assistant Principal Achievement Award finalists are:
- Brooke Loyed, Patronis Elementary School, Bay County
- JoAnne Misiewicz-Seltzer, Flamingo Elementary School, Broward County
- Jeannie Inagawa, Cracker Trail Elementary School, Highlands County
