Chancellor Lyons to Plant Pinwheel Garden
Tallahassee, Fla., March 31, 2016 – Tomorrow, Chancellor of K-12 Public Schools Hershel Lyons will lead the Department of Education’s Pinwheels for Prevention ceremony in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Pinwheels for Prevention is a national campaign that engages communities in a coordinated effort to prevent child abuse and neglect by promoting the awareness of healthy child development, positive parenting practices and the types of support families need within their communities. The blue and silver pinwheels symbolize the hope and promise of a happy childhood.
